Activities and Assignments Galore!

Dear Parents,

Thank you again for encouraging your students to check in with me at least twice a week.  I’m not checking to see how much work they’ve done so much as making sure they are okay and to see if they have any questions or concerns.  They can check in by:

  • Sending an email to cgentry@fusdk12.net

  • Making a comment on our Google classroom page

  • Using the beginning of the week and end of the week check in forms

We understand that many families are under a lot of stress right now- whether from health concerns, economic uncertainty, or from having family and friends out of reach. Suggested Weekday Schedule

7:00-8:00 Wake up, breakfast, beds made, get dressed

8:00-9:00 Academic time 

9:00-9:15 Fresh air break

9:15-10:15 Academic time

10:15-10:30 Fresh air break

10:30-11:30 Creative play time- invent, imagine, explore without electronics

11:30-1:00 Lunch, chores, silent reading 

1:00-2:00 Art, virtual field trip, learn a new language

2:00-2:45  Activity time (go outside or try one of the PE videos)

 

Mondays with Michelle Obama:

Current Events:

Students can tune in and listen to a brief, kid-friendly, non-partisan newscast with stories just for them and take a comprehension quiz to check for understanding. Go to: https://www.kidnuz.org/



Room 10 Yearbook:

Students should be working on their individual yearbook page found on our Google Classroom page.  The page is due 5/27.

 

Math:

By now, students should be finished with the lessons in our math text.  We will be moving on to practicing applied mathematics and logical reasoning skills.
